Cameroonian football legend tragically passed away at the age of 38 following a car accident on the Obala road en route to Yaounde.

The accident occurred on the afternoon of 27 June 2024 near Obala in the Centre region. The 38-year-old former Cameroon international was travelling in a car with members of his family. The car collided with a lorry, tearing it apart. Another lorry was involved in the accident, which occurred on the Bafoussam-Yaoundé road as he was returning from his stay in West Cameroon. He was on the passenger side.

A finalist with Cameroon at the 2008 African Cup of Nations, Landry Nguemo was a handsome midfielder who became a pundit, notably for national television. He commented on Cameroon’s recent matches and played exhibition matches with his former teammates. He leaves us at the age of 38.
