Africa’s Biggest football jamboree is set to enter its Semi-Final Phase tomorrow Wednesday January 14, 2026. This just after Senegal, Egypt, Nigeria and Hosts Morocco paved their way into the last four phase of the AFCON competition after smoothly eliminating their opponents at the quarter-finals, gaining them the appellation of the « Big Four ».

Regarded as the most exciting phase of the competition, the Semi-finals will be played amongst the seven-time African champions Egypt, 2013 champions Nigeria, 2021 winners Senegal and Hosts, Morocco who will be fighting to either get an eight win ( Egypt), a second win ( Senegal & Nigeria) or a win (Morocco).

Egypt sealed the final semi-final ticket on Saturday night after edging defending champions Côte d’Ivoire 3-2 goals in a pulsating contest, bringing the Elephants’ reign to an end.

They will now face Senegal in Tangier on Wednesday as from 5h00 pm GMT, who were the first side to advance to the last four following a composed 1-0 victory over Mali on Friday.

Morocco continue their quest for a first continental title in 50 years after overcoming Cameroon 2-0 in Rabat, maintaining their impressive momentum on home soil.

Completing the semi-final line-up are Nigeria, who delivered a clinical performance to defeat Algeria 2-0 in Marrakech, and set up a blockbuster clash with the hosts that will be played in Rabat 8h00 pm GMT.

It is after these matches that the two finalists who will battle for the title on Sunday January 18, 2026 in the finals will be known.
