A total of 10 Cameroonian athletes are set to compete in their respective sports discipline during the contest in Ghana.

The 13th edition of the All Africa Games will be held in Ghana from the 8th to the 23rd of March 2024. Cameroon’s medal hopes lie mainly in the wrestling, handball and volleyball disciplines, as Cameroon won the gold medal in volleyball at the 2019 All-Africa Games in Morocco.

In wrestling, Cameroonian team spares no effort to make a good impression. According to Jean Calvin Penda Mba, the national women’s wrestling coach, the Cameroonian wrestlers spent their training session revising their reference techniques: “The strength for some is the double leg lift, for others it’s the hip turn with the head or the side leg lift.”

The women’s handball team is not to be outdone. Cameroon has been a shining on the African scene in recent years with a final at the African Handball Cup of Nations . And at the All-Africa Games, their aim is to do so again. Their preparation has been steady, with a good selection of local players in the squad. With the arrival of the Cameroonian delegation in Ghana, the squad has been expanded including players from Congo and France.
