The 19th edition of the Regional University Forum for Capacity Building (Ruforum) in Agriculture was launched on 30 November at the Yaounde Conference center.
Themed “Transforming higher education to sustainably feed Africa and create prosperity for Africa”, this year’s Regional Higher Education Forum on Agricultural Capacity Building (Ruforum) aims to strengthen the link between higher education and sustainable agricultural development. Bringing together stakeholders in agricultural higher education from all four corners of the continent, the forum, which has an educational dimension, will focus on the impact of universities on agro-industrial transformation and African economic development. Actors mostly lecturers will be brainstorming for in the nation’s capital from 29th October – 3rd November 2023.
Cameroon, which is hosting the 19th edition of the Regional University Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture, can be proud that one of its own daughters, Professor Theresia Nkuo-Akenji, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bamenda, is chairing the Board of Ruforum. The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM), a consortium of 163 universities in 40 countries in Africa.
