The National President of the Social Democratic Front will visit Belgium during this month.

The Cameroonian Diaspora in Europe and the leader of the SDF, Joshua Osih, will meet in Brussels (Belgium), on Saturday August 17, 2024 at 6pm. The member of the parliament will exchange views with his compatriots living in Europe on issues relating to the life of the nation, international relations and, above all, the future of Cameroon after the 2025 presidential elections.

Specifically, Joshua Osih, a candidate at the upcoming presidential election, will address issues related to the crisis in the North West and South West regions, now in its eighth consecutive year, and federalism, a form of state that the politician believes is best for Cameroon. Education, which has been hijacked by certain groups, the opposition coalition, which is still being debated a few months before the elections, and dual citizenship are also on the agenda. Economic recovery in a context of galloping inflation, human rights, the one-stop shop for the diaspora, the CFA franc issue and entrepreneurship in Cameroon are among the other issues that Ni John Fru Ndi’s successor at the helm of the party will develop.

Before flying to Belgium, Joshua Osih has just completed a nationwide tour of Cameroon. The tour, which began in April last year, took the candidate who has been declared fourth in the 2018 presidential election to the 10 regions. Travelling through cities and rural areas, the SDF leader and his delegation took the message of remobilisation to the grassroots. The context was the death of the party’s founder, the decline in the party’s performance in recent elections and the approaching election date.
