Yaounde is currently hosting the 11th edition of the CAMEX Islamic Fair, running from February 27th to March 2nd. This year’s event, now a staple in the city’s calendar, emphasises community development and tax awareness.

Under the patronage of Colonel Kalkaba Malboum, the fair offers a rich and diverse exhibition and sales space. Visitors can explore food products, clothing, cosmetics, decorative items, and Islamic financial services.

However, CAMEX extends beyond a mere marketplace. The event serves as a platform for exchange and reflection on key societal issues. This year, particular attention is given to the 2025 finance law, with a specific focus on personal income tax returns. Experts will be on hand to inform and advise participants on their tax obligations.

Discussions are also planned on the challenges of community development. How can citizens actively engage to improve their environment and contribute to the growth of their community? These are the questions that will be addressed during roundtables and conferences.

CAMEX is an initiative of the eponymous Muslim association. It aims to promote the values of solidarity, sharing, and sustainable development. This 11th edition aligns with this vision, providing a space for dialogue and interaction between the various segments of society.
