Journalist and women’s rights advocate Comfort Mussa has been appointed as a volunteer ambassador for DearYou to lead the global health initiative’s expansion across Cameroon. This in a move to bridge the gap between medical information and cultural sensitivity.

The information is contained in a release made public this February 25, 2026 by the organization. The aim of this collaboration is to transform how women in Central Africa access and engage with vital health data.

Mussa, a prominent voice in women’s rights, will spearhead a localized dialogue designed to uphold the dignity of Cameroonian women through the power of informed choice.

The partnership marks a strategic expansion for DearYou, a global initiative supported by The DEAR Foundation Switzerland. By leveraging Cameroon’s unique bilingual landscape and extensive media networks, the initiative seeks to bypass traditional barriers to information. “Access to trustworthy health information is essential to women’s dignity,” Mussa stated, emphasizing that the project succeeds only when it aligns with the local realities of trust and community leadership.

As part of her mandate, Mussa will lead a multi-platform media campaign spanning radio, television, and digital print. Her efforts will be particularly visible during Women’s Month events and various health-focused conferences.

The new ambassador is expected to facilitate community conversations through existing regional networks, ensure the distribution of accessible educational resources to underserved areas and above all promote the DearYou mobile app, a free tool designed for health tracking and early detection.

A representative from The DEAR Foundation Switzerland noted that the collaboration is rooted in “listening and working through trusted local voices.” Rather than replacing current efforts, Mussa’s work is intended to supplement and strengthen the ongoing initiatives of organizations already active in the sectors of women’s health and empowerment. By combining global technology with local advocacy, DearYou hopes to foster a culture of proactive health awareness across the country.
