The reigning Miss Cameroon 2025 Josiane Golonga could be dethroned in the days ahead as Miss Cameroon 2025 before the end of her mandate. This as tensions rise between her and the Cameroon Organising Committee of Miss Cameroon popularly known as COMICA.

In a statement, COMICA accused Josiane of abandoning her duties, repeatedly refusing to attend events organized by key partners such as Canal 2, and demanding the return of an official vehicle, which they claim she left in an unsanitary condition while being the sole holder of its keys.

The committee equally revealed that she allegedly prohibited them from using her image for any event or publication, made disrespectful remarks toward the committee president, and blocked some members of the crew.

On her part, Josiane claims COMICA failed to pay her salary for December and January, although reports indicate she did not show up at her usual collection point to receive the money.

As the Massas community demands clarification over what they describe as media harassment against their daughter, COMICA insists it has no involvement in her private life.

The committee has given Josiane five days to present herself and provide solid explanations. Failure to do so, puts her at the risk of dismissal and may equally be required of her, a refund of 13 million FCFA reportedly invested in her activities, including donations in the North and participation in an international competition.

This is a premier in the history of Cameroon where a Country’s representative displays actions which do not depict the Country image.
