The Association of staff of the Ministry of Public Health dubbed MUPE-MINSANTE now has its first leadership team. Gathered on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the Public Health Emergency Operations Coordination Center – CCOUSP in Yaounde, more than 500 representatives from central services, decentralized services, and public institutions under the ministry’s supervision elected the members of the Executive Board and unanimously adopted the organization’s statutes and internal regulations.
Following the votes, the Executive Board of the Association was established. Elisée Amour Eyenga Ndjomo was unanimously elected Coordinator of MUPE-MINSANTÉ. He will be assisted by Dr. Hassan Ben Bachir, Dr. Simon Noudji, Françoise Betgna, Dr. Bouba Pamen Joëlle, Irène Megueh Ngobe, and Vincent Messina Tomo. These staff members will serve respectively as Deputy Coordinator, Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General, General Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer, and Management Controller.
Additionally, the Board of Directors was formed in accordance with the regulations. Composed of 11 members, Prof. Louis Richard Njock, in his capacity as Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Health, was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of MUPE-MINSANTÉ.
During the meeting, the central focus of discussions was the review and adoption of the mutual association’s founding documents. The discussions, conducted through a constructive approach, allowed participants to make proposals aimed at providing MUPE-MINSANTÉ with a legal framework tailored to the expectations of its future members.
As a reminder, MUPE-MINSANTÉ aims to strengthen the social protection of the personnel of the Ministry of Public Health and the public institutions under its supervision. It will notably contribute to the prevention of social risks, the mitigation of their consequences, the improvement of living conditions, and the personal fulfillment of its members. Its motto, “Equity, Solidarity, Development,” reflects its ambition to promote social protection based on mutual aid, equity, and collective responsibility.
By installing its first leaders and adopting its founding documents, MUPE-MINSANTÉ marks a decisive milestone in its history. It intends to become a genuine instrument of solidarity, prevention, and social support for the staff of the Ministry of Public Health, guided by a spirit of equity, responsibility, and shared development.
