On September 17, 2026, the National Hydrocarbons Corporation – SNH hosted a high-level delegation from the Perenco Group at its head office in Yaounde.

The visiting delegation was led by Perenco’s CEO, Armel Simondin, marking a key moment in the ongoing collaboration between the state energy company and one of its major operating partners.

The audience was received on behalf of the Executive General Manager of SNH by Adviser No. 2, Nathalie Moudiki. The primary purpose of the visit was to formally introduce Julien Gras as the newly appointed General Manager of Perenco’s subsidiaries operating within Cameroon.

This official reception provided a timely opportunity for both organizations to reaffirm the strength and longevity of their strategic partnership. Together, SNH and Perenco continue to play a pivotal role in driving the growth, stability, and modernization of Cameroon’s vital oil and gas sector.

During the exchange, SNH extended a warm welcome to Julien Gras while expressing deep gratitude for the accomplishments of outgoing General Manager Yves Postec. SNH commended Postec’s leadership and effective management, which significantly contributed to the success of joint operations throughout his tenure.

Julien Gras is no stranger to the local energy landscape, having previously served in Cameroon between 2013 and 2014. He returns to head the local subsidiaries after occupying several key international leadership positions across the global Perenco Group.

His appointment marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the SNH-Perenco relationship. Both parties pledged to maintain their close cooperation, focusing on the responsible, efficient, and sustainable development of Cameroon’s rich hydrocarbon resources for years to come.
