The International Organisation for Migration (IOM), which has been on the ground in crisis areas since 2021, is taking stock of the past 12 months at a workshop in Maroua . For the third consecutive year, Japan is contributing to the activities of the IOM mission in Cameroon by funding the project “Support for the recovery of conflict-affected communities in the Far North, North West and South West regions of Cameroon through strengthening resilience and reconciliation through the humanitarian, development and peace nexus”. According to Professor Albert Ngoda, representative of the IOM Head of Mission in Maroua, the aim of this meeting is to evaluate the results achieved so far in order to contribute to the sustainability of the project by creating the conditions for the integration of lessons learned in the interventions of the various state and non-state actors.
