The headquarters of the Cameroon Telecommunications company CAMTEL hosted the signing ceremony of a framework agreement with the National Association of Private Higher Education Institutions of Cameroon – ANIPES on Wednesday September 2, 2026.
More than just a formal agreement, the strategic partnership opens new horizons for the modernization of private higher education across the nation. Through this alliance, the national telecommunications operator commits to placing its expertise, infrastructure, and technological know-how at the service of private universities and institutes.
The initiative aims to address the growing digital demands of academic communities by ensuring every institution gains access to reliable technology. During the ceremony, CAMTEL General Manager Judith Yah Sunday epse Achidi emphasized that high-quality connectivity is essential for enabling university communities to elevate the quality of their teaching and research. Under the terms of the agreement, private institutions will gain access to tailored technological solutions designed to optimize their operations. Key offerings include reliable high-speed broadband internet to facilitate access to online learning resources, as well as campus interconnection to ensure seamless, secure data flow across multiple sites.
Additionally, CAMTEL will provide secure, sovereign data hosting to guarantee data protection and local administrative control.
