The ambitious Ndolle City new town project, situated in Sikoum-Dibamba within Cameroon’s Littoral region, has achieved a critical milestone following the signing of a landmark 5 billion euro strategic agreement.

Sealed between project promoter Impex Trading and Tekne SpA, an Italian firm backed by a NYSE-listed American group, the deal officially positions Ndolle City as a central driver for large-scale regional development.

Under the contract approved by Tekne’s parent company, the partnership encompasses service provision across 16 countries in Africa and the Middle East, designating Cameroon as the primary hub. Tekne SpA brings specialized expertise in technical infrastructure, local authority solutions, and special vehicles, committing to lead the physical development, site equipment, and core infrastructure of the new city.

Designed as a modern, sustainable urban center spanning over 1,000 hectares between Sikoum and Dibamba, Ndolle City aims to combine residential housing, industrial zones, and essential service infrastructure. By offering an integrated urban environment, the project serves as a key economic lever intended to foster decentralization and significantly relieve congestion in neighboring Douala.

The official signing ceremony brought together prominent administrative, legal, and community representatives, including figures from the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure, the DGSN, the High Court, and the Cameroon Bar Association. This event followed formal validation in Italy, where Tekne SpA’s director of international operations officially executed and registered the contract in accordance with national notary regulations.

While the comprehensive €5 billion package spans multiple international jurisdictions, a major allocation is earmarked directly for Cameroon’s Ndolle City initiatives. This substantial financial commitment sends a strong signal to global investors, transitioning Ndolle City from an ambitious blueprint into an active international construction endeavor.
