Honorable Vincent de Paul Emah Etoundi has officially launched a new 198-page book titled “A Parliamentarian in Action: From Afanoyoa to the Glass House”.

Published by Éditions Belles Plumes and sold at 15,000 FCFA, the work offers a detailed account of the author’s personal and political trajectory. The publication traces his evolution from traditional governance and municipal administration to national legislative leadership in Cameroon.

The book chronicles key milestones in the author’s public service career, beginning with his enthronement as a traditional chief in 2001 to his subsequent involvement in local municipal administration.

First elected to the National Assembly in 2007 under the banner of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement – CPDM, he went on to secure re-election twice. Throughout the narrative, the author reflects on his parliamentary mandate and advocates for a political philosophy grounded in community proximity, public service, and constituent engagement.

Beyond legislative politics, the book highlights Hon. Emah Etoundi’s social and community-driven initiatives, notably through the FRANJAC Foundation, which works to combat poverty and promote sustainable local development. He presents the parliament not merely as an arena of political privilege, but as a vital platform for safeguarding citizen interests, advancing democratic governance, and fostering national progress. The publication contributes a pragmatic perspective to discussions on leadership and public service in Central Africa.

The official book launch and signing ceremony drew prominent state officials, parliamentary leaders, and members of the public. The Speaker of the National Assembly was represented by Hon. Pauline Ndoumou, while the Senate President was represented by Senator Samuel Obam Assam. Other high-profile attendees included the Chief of Staff to the Speaker’s Cabinet, Prof. Isaac Tamba, the Clerk of the National Assembly, André Noël Essian, and numerous fellow lawmakers.

The book serves as both an autobiographical record and a broader treatise on civic responsibility. By sharing his path from the local chieftaincy of Afanoyoa to the hall of the National Assembly, Hon. Emah Etoundi offers readers insights into ethical leadership, the duties of elected officials, and the building of a citizen-centered society.
