Cameroonian social impact advocate Edison Fru Ndi has been honoured with the prestigious Global Changemakers Award by Project 100 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to community development and social innovation in Cameroon.

The accolade was conferred on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, during the 7th Global Changemakers Award ceremony hosted in Nairobi, Kenya. The official award certificate (Registration No. 6892/2019) commended Fru Ndi’s steadfast dedication to making a positive difference in society, cementing his status as a key leader within the continent’s social change ecosystem.

The award was signed by prominent international dignitaries, including His Excellency George Mkondiwa, Chairman of Project 100, and Dominic Iuramba, Director of the Global Appeal Agency.

Co-signatory Dominic Iuramba also serves as a board member and Director of Communication Regulation in Kenya, reflecting the high-level continental oversight behind the recognition.

This international honour highlights the growing influence of Cameroonian voices in broader discussions surrounding youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable community growth.

Across Africa, leaders focused on youth welfare are increasingly being celebrated for their capacity to address pressing socioeconomic challenges and unlock opportunities within their local populations. For Cameroon, Fru Ndi’s award offers a global platform to showcase how grassroots initiatives directly elevate the next generation of civic leaders and local entrepreneurs.

Fru Ndi’s track record of community work includes high-impact regional initiatives such as the Mutan Market project and the extensive renovation of Campus C at GBHS Bamenda, alongside numerous other humanitarian endeavors across the North West Region.

In addition to his advocacy work, he serves as the North West Regional Delegate of the Chamber of Commerce, bridging the gap between economic development and social progress.

The Global Changemakers Award adds to Edison Fru Ndi’s expanding profile as a prominent figure in the African social impact landscape.

By earning recognition beyond national borders, his achievements serve as a compelling encouragement for young leaders across the region to pursue innovation, active citizenship, and community-driven leadership.
