A delegation from the Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF) has been visiting Paul Biya’s country since 27 July.
Led by Mpho Moruakgomo, Chairman of the Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF), the members of the organisation have just carried out an inspection of the infrastructure being built as part of the Feicom-Medium Town Decentralisation Programme. A project being implemented in partnership with the German development cooperation.
The guests were able to appreciate the importance of the project for the Obala city council, particularly in terms of the provision of additional transport services for the local population. The station includes two platforms with waiting areas for passengers, a catering building with 6 ticket offices and 6 shops, and M/F toilets.
CLGF works to promote and strengthen democratic local government throughout the Commonwealth and to encourage the exchange of good practice in local government structures and services.
