The Lions goalkeeper shared his opinion after the nation’s draw with Guinea’s Sily National (1-1).
Speaking after the 1-1 draw between Cameroon and Guinea, André Onana uttered his disappointement, “That’s football and everything is temporary,” he said. However, in the player’s opinion, the Lions gave their all, but the result was simply not there. “Cameroon can not afford to lose or draw. But that is football”.
“I have a lot to say, but I will not say it here because we are in a competition,” he said, adding that the most important thing was to prepare for Friday’s game against Senegal. “The most important thing is to stay together. We are here to win the Africa Cup of Nations.”
The goalkeeper joined the team last Mondat. He could feature in the line-up for the team’s second match against the Lions of Teranga upcoming Friday. A game in which Cameroon will be hoping to ensure a qualification for the second round.
