The former president of the Bar Association made the announcement yesterday. He will be running under the colours of a coalition of political parties, including the one that invested him, the Univers party of Pr Nkou Mvondo’o.
This time around, the former candidate in the 2018 presidential elections is benefiting from a coalition, as he is supported by several parties and civil society leaders. One of the early supporters of this candidacy is Eric Chinje.
The former editor-in-chief of Cameroon Radio Television (CRTV), who was invited by Nkou Mvondo, immediately gave his support to this profile, not without criticising the regime in Yaoundé, whose leader, Paul Biya, had made a thinly veiled threat to him.
Akere Muna, known as a champion of the fight against corruption, seemed the ideal candidate for this coalition, in which emissaries of Cabral Libi’i have often been seen.
Cabral Libii and Maurice Kamto are also potential candidates for the 2025 presidential elections. Meanwhile, Cabral Libii has just been confirmed as the leader of Cameroon’s Party for National Reconciliation (PCRN), while Maurice Kamto continues to claim victory in the last presidential election.
