Candidates wishing to apply must meet some conditions likely requirements regarding their age, education and choice of school at the end of the selection process.

Cameroonians wishing to apply to the government recruitment of primary school teachers must not exceed the age of 40, they must hold a Nursery and primary school teaching certificate (NPSTC) issued in 2018 at the latest. Moreover, as mentioned by the Ministry of Basic Education, Applications must be received by regional Delegations for Basic Education by January 12, 2024. Fifteen documents must be submitted and candidates must indicate the school to which they wish to be assigned once they have been selected.

The written tests will be held on Saturday February 03, 2024 between 08:00 and 17:00, including the general knowledge test, the technical test and the language test. Later on, the Ministry will then publish a list of requirements for State own school teachers.

Let’s recall that last December 7, the Minister of Basic Education issued a press release inviting teachers selected for 2022 and those waiting listed for 2021 to sign their employment contracts. A total of 3,329 teachers were expected to complete this formality between 11 and 12 December 2023.
