The Indomitable lions of Cameroon and the Atlas Lions of Morocco are to play the second game of the quarter-finals this day at 8pm, immediately after Mali takes on Senegal at 5pm.

Prior to this encounter, the coaches  of both teams gave their stand on how the encounter will look like, while raising the strengths of their players.

Indomitable Lions head coach, David Pagou was accompanied to the pre-match Press Conference by Christian Kofane, forward of the team. He counts two goals and a man of the match award. The head Coach acknowledged the success of the teams taking on the quarter-finals while reassuring Cameroonian fans of the presence of the Lions as an African team.

“It’s no surprise that all the big Football Nations are at the quarter finals. It shows that they prepared well for the AFCON which is necessary to face the European counterparts at the World. We have seen great infrastructure here in Morocco. We had an African Nations at the semi finals at the World Cup, we hope to see an African team at the final”. Pointed out Coach Pagou.

“Morocco is the super favorite for this match. They have the best Africa player, who plays for PSG. It is a privilege for us to challenge them.” He added.

On the other hand, Coach Walid Regragui of Morocco was accompanied by Hamza Igamane, Forward, for the Atlas Lions during the pre-match Press Conference. He used the opportunity to brag about the capacities of his players when it comes to spot kicks.

“We are the best team in Africa in spot kicks. We know it’s very important and we are working on it. Sometimes it works, others it doesn’t but it’s important for us during a knockout match we have to prepare all aspects.”

The Moroccan Coach did not equally relent any efforts to acknowledge the abilities and history of their opponent Cameroon when it comes to football.

“We have a good team, but the other countries also have great teams. Cameroon is a great football nation with great players and a good coach. However, we are going to give our hundred percent potential. Our objective is to win the AFCON at home.”

As both teams prepare to pull the bull by the horn this evening,  a series of practice and training sessions have been the order if the day with the aim of making sure to emerge victorious.
