It was in an atmosphere of conviviality that a high-level female delegation from the National Hydrocarbons Corporation – SNH paid a courtesy visit to the Paul Biya Glass Palace in Yaounde on May 26, 2026.
Led by Nathalie Moudiki, Executive Advisor No. 2 at the General Management and Head of the Judicial Department, the immersive visit served a dual purpose: celebrating the upcoming Mother’s Day on May 31 and deepening the participants’ understanding of the inner workings of Cameroon’s legislative institution and its vital role in national life.
During the visit, the delegation was received by the House Speaker of the National Assembly, the Right Honourable Théodore Datouo. The meeting provided an essential platform for the SNH women to present and discuss the hydrocarbons company’s major structural and developmental projects. These strategic initiatives include the highly anticipated establishment of a domestic oil refinery, chemical fertilizer production, and local tile manufacturing.

The Right Honourable speaker the lower house highly commended SNH’s visionary initiatives, noting their potential to significantly curb youth unemployment, enhance national agricultural productivity, and promote the strategic use of local raw materials.
He reaffirmed Parliament’s steadfast support for these major economic projects, framing them as essential drivers for the country’s long-term development guidelines.
To conclude the immersion, the delegation, accompanied by the Clerk of the House, Essian André Noël, was treated to a guided tour of the parliamentary building, where they expressed great admiration for the architectural splendor of the Paul Biya Glass House.
The entire event unfolded in an atmosphere marked by warmth, mutual recognition, and a strong appreciation for the crucial role women play in the growth and performance of the Cameroonian economy.
