Emmanuel Eseme ALOBWEDE has presented his gold and bronze medals won at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh to the sports body. This was during a meeting at the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, where he was received by Professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi on January 5, 2026.

Eseme has a wide record of medals amassed to his name. A gold medalist at the 2024 Accra African Games, gold medalist and record holder of the 2023 Kinshasa Francophonie Games, winner of the 2024 Stockholm and Rabat Diamond League meetings, and winner of the 2025 Club Championships in Portugal.

He is an emblematic and iconic athlete of the Cameroonian sporting movement, currently ranked among the world’s top sprinters (Top 15).

​In 2024 and 2025, he received substantial financial support from MINSEP for his preparation, particularly for the Olympic Games and other international competitions.

​During the meeting, the athlete used the opportunity to announce the exclusive launch of his own foundation, dedicated to identifying, training, and supporting young athletic talent.

All the athletes of the national sporting movement who enabled Cameroon to reap a formidable harvest of over 650 medals and trophies throughout 2025 were equally congratulated. They were won across some 70 international competitions in all disciplines, all of which were funded by the State via MINSEP in 2025.

​The Minister extended best wishes to everyone affiliated with the 58 national civil sports federations for achievement and success in 2026.
