Intermediate Lions played their last friendly encounter yesterday against Sudan as part of the preparation for the Chan.
With yesterday’s match against Sudan, Cameroon had a total of five warm-up matches to sharpen its weapons regarding the upcoming African Nations Championship (Chan) which begins in a few days in Algeria.
For this last friendly match, the intermediate Lions won 2-0. Firstly, there was the opening goal scored in the 35th minute by Roche Foning of Union of Douala and in the second half, Ramsès Donfack of Coton sport de Garoua sealed the game.
If the team led by Alioum Saidou comes out of this match with a good morale thanks to its victory on Sudan, we are far from being confident enough. Of the five friendly games Cameroon had, the country recorded only two wins and three draws.
Besides, apart from yesterday’s game, intermediate Lions have conceded in every game and scored at least one goal in all of their outings. There is therefore reasons to fear for the defense and a lure of hope to expect from the offensive line.
Cameroon’s first game is scheduled for January 16 against Congo.
