The Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji, has kicked off an official working visit to Cameroon’s East Region to evaluate its security landscape and socio-economic dynamics.

Upon his arrival at the Bonis checkpoint in Bertoua, the minister was received by the Governor of the East Region, Grégoire Mvongo. A diverse delegation of administrative authorities, defense and security forces, traditional rulers, and vibrant local cultural dance groups gathered to welcome the minister, highlighting the community’s engagement with the visit.

This mission aligns with the state’s ongoing strategy to maintain direct contact with local populations and monitor the execution of public policies across the country. During his time in the region, Minister Atanga Nji will lead critical working sessions with various regional stakeholders. These collaborative meetings are designed to address pressing issues surrounding local governance, social cohesion, security management, and regional development goals.

Ultimately, the ministerial tour provides a vital platform for administrative and security leaders to review active field initiatives. By assessing these programs, the delegation aims to map out fresh strategies that will strengthen long-term peace, maintain stability, and drive socio-economic progress across the communities of the East Region.
