With an estimated completion rate of 10.06%, less than a year after the start of work, the 39 km section in the North West Region is in the earthworks phase at Kumbo – Ndu – Nkambe – Misaje.
At the site of the National Road N° 11, several machines are being mobilised to carry out the earthworks, which are 19.03% complete, including 135,993.05 m3 of excavated material, 81,638.86 m3 of excavated material backfill, 10,252.26 m3 of borrowed material backfill and 992.56 m3 of drainage. The excavated material will be deposited between kilometre point 25+000 and kilometre point 28+000 and the borrowed material will be deposited between kilometre point 27+200 and kilometre point 27+400.
The topographic survey of the Kumbo-Ndu road is 61% complete. With regard to the drainage works, 223.75 m² of masonry embankments have been constructed and the company has started to prefabricate the hydraulic scuppers.
The financial situation of the project shows that the start-up advance of 20% of the project amount and the first invoice issued by the company in charge of the construction have been paid while the other five invoices are awaiting payment. The provisional work schedule has been submitted for the week of 16 to 22 June 2024.
