The Training School of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority – EFO-CCAA recently wrapped up a major three-day awareness campaign aimed at showcasing its specialized aviation programs.
Held from May 17 to 19, 2026, at Air Base 101 in Yaounde, the exhibition took place during the Open House Days of the Defense and Security Forces. The event served as a major eye-opener for a large crowd of curious visitors, students, and aviation enthusiasts who flocked to the school’s booth to discover career paths within the aviation industry.
Throughout the exhibition, the EFO-CCAA team actively engaged with the public to shed light on essential, behind-the-scenes professions that keep the skies safe. Visitors received detailed insights into the roles of Operational Security Officers, Air Traffic Controllers, and Aviation Safety Inspectors.
By highlighting these critical positions, the school aimed to demystify the industry, bridge the information gap for job seekers, and spark fresh vocational interest among young Cameroonians to ensure a steady pipeline of local talent.
A key highlight of the event was the presentation of the school’s rigorous initial and continuing training curriculum. Particular attention was drawn to two flagship programs: the 12-month certified training in Aircraft Maintenance and Overhaul – CAMRA designed for engineers, which includes a three-month corporate internship, and the 3-year License in Air Navigation and Aerodrome Services Operations – ESNAA, accessible to high school graduates with scientific or technical backgrounds. The team emphasized that while these paths require high academic discipline, they offer direct routes into highly rewarding careers.
The booth ultimately became a hub of inspiration, leaving a lasting impression on many students who were previously unaware that such specialized training was available locally in Cameroon.
Attendees left the three-day event equipped with vital career guidance, with several expressing admiration for the strict standards required to keep Cameroonian airspace secure. For many young professionals and job seekers in attendance, the open house successfully opened the door to entirely new and unexpected career opportunities in the aviation sector.
