A total of six organizations have officially joined hands with the Ministry of Public Health to enhance the health situation of the Cameroonian population.
The conference hall of the Ministry of Public Health served as the setting on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, for the formal signing ceremony of partnership agreements with these organizations active in the health sector.
The conventions were signed with FAIRMED, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation – EGPAF, the African Development Foundation – ADF, For Impacts in Social Health – FIS, Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services – CBCHS, and the Marguerita Holistic Health Center – M2HC.
The agreements are to focus on strategic areas, primarily strengthening primary health care, improving mental, neonatal and child health care, combating HIV/AIDS and other priority diseases, ensuring equitable access to health services for vulnerable populations and also developing sustainable mechanisms for healthcare financing and governance.
The contributions from these organizations will cover local capacity building, the promotion of community health, the fight against pediatric HIV, the prevention of mother-to-child transmission, and support for community and faith-based healthcare initiatives.
A Vision for Inclusive Health
This various group of stakeholders illustrates the vitality of public-private partnerships and the essential synergy between the State and its technical and financial partners. Through these agreements, the Government reaffirms its commitment towards building a health system in the Country that is more inclusive, resilient, and aligned with the actual needs of communities.
In his address, the Minister of Public Health emphasized that these conventions are fully integrated into the implementation of the national health policy, following the High Directives of the Head of State.
”These conventions constitute a structured framework for collaboration based on clear mutual commitments: guaranteeing a favorable environment and harmonized coordination of interventions, and aligning actions with national priorities.” — Dr. Malachie MANAOUDA
The implementation of these agreements are to be guided by three principles. The strategic alignment, operational complementarity and the mutual accountability of both parties.
By signing these agreements, the Ministry of Public Health reaffirms its conviction that contemporary health challenges can only be met together, through a spirit of cooperation, innovation, and solidarity between the state and the community.
