Tayc is set to make a triumphant return to Cameroon this December after a six-year hiatus, but his homecoming aims to be more than just a musical milestone.

Following a high-level audience held with the Minister of Public Health on April 28, the artist’s team, led by Paola Tchato, solidified plans to host the event at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex. Central to their mission is ensuring the safety of the massive crowds expected, with the Ministry pledged to provide professional medical oversight and health protocols for the venue.

Beyond the stage, the visit will feature a dedicated socio-cultural week designed to foster civic engagement and connect the artist directly with local communities. This initiative seeks to bridge the gap between global stardom and grassroots realities through field actions and hospital visits.

By integrating culture with community service, Tayc’s team hopes to set a new standard for how major entertainment events can contribute to the social fabric of the host country.

The collaboration also places a heavy emphasis on pressing national health priorities. In consultation with government experts, Tayc has committed to using his platform to champion awareness for hepatitis and cancer, two critical health challenges facing Cameroonians today.

The Minister praised the “laudable” approach, noting that the artist’s influence could be a powerful tool in mobilizing the youth toward preventive health measures and social awareness.
Looking toward the future, this return serves as a blueprint for a long-term humanitarian legacy.

The team revealed plans to establish a foundation focused on youth, women, and culture, ensuring that the impact of this December’s concert extends far beyond the final encore.

As technical consultations continue, this partnership between the Ministry of Health and the arts highlights a growing trend of “celebrity citizenship” aimed at driving sustainable development in Cameroon.
