The grand Jacques Meunier amphitheater of the National School of Administration and Magistracy – ENAM recently hosted a landmark immersion seminar for the 2025 cohort of public servants.
Chaired by the Minister of the Public Service and Administrative Reform, Joseph LÉ, the solemn ceremony marked the official entry of new recruits into the state apparatus. This foundational milestone brought together graduates from various prestigious institutions, including ENAM, IEF-PR, and CENAJES, signaling a unified start for the nation’s newest administrators.
At the heart of this gathering was a call for a profound ethical transformation within the Cameroonian administration. Minister Joseph LÉ emphasized that joining the Civil Service is far more than a professional milestone; it is a “sacred commitment” to the Nation.
He urged the new recruits to prioritize the general interest over personal gain, stressing that probity, integrity, and loyalty are the non-negotiable moral pillars required to raise the performance of the State to meet modern challenges.
A defining feature of this 2025 intake is their role as pioneers in the “Digital Mutation” of the government. These agents are entering service during the critical rollout of the AIGLES software (Computer Application for the Logical Management of Staff and Payroll).
This digital tool is a cornerstone of Cameroon’s e-government strategy, designed to eliminate bureaucratic delays through the digitalization of files and the automation of administrative procedures, effectively breaking away from obsolete manual practices.
The transition from theory to practice was made tangible through the official handover of administrative documents during the seminar. New agents received their Assumption of Duty Certificates and Posting Decisions, activing their immediate deployment across various ministerial departments.
This administrative act underscores the government’s commitment to “proximity,” ensuring that fresh talent is quickly integrated into the field to improve the quality of service provided to the public.
The ceremony, attended by high-ranking officials including the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Justice, concluded with a powerful vision for the future. The Government’s ambition is to cultivate a new generation of public servants who are not only aware of their rights but are also exemplary in their duties.
By blending moral integrity with technological proficiency, the 2025 cohort is expected to spearhead a more efficient, modern, and citizen-oriented Cameroonian administration.
