Matchday14 of the MTN Elite 1, played over the weekend, saw Dynamo and Coton Sport avoid defeat.

Dynamo de Douala had to do it. The leader of Groupa A travelled to Mbouda to take on the Bamboutos de Mbouda in a clash last weekend. In a stadium that was packed to the rafters, the 12th player side had everything they needed to put the pressure on the guys from Douala. It was a pressure that the club from the economic capital were able to keep at bay. The scoreboard read 0-0 at the final whistle.  It was the same scoreline that separated AS Fortuna from PWD of Bamenda.

The other matches of Group B like Astres vs Colombe du Dja and Lobo ended 0-2 with goals from Eric Mefoe and Edzimbi. Union de Douala, managed to overcome Canon de Yaoundé (1-0) thanks to Cédric Mayada ending Canon’s unbeaten run of seven matches without defeat. Aigle royal de la Menoua had to make the long trip to Garoua. But that did not stop them from taking over Gazelle 2-0.

In Groupe B, Fovu and Victoria both scored in their respective matches. Fovu 3-1 Azur, Apejes 2-3 Victoria United. UMS de Loum and Young Sport Academy lost 1-0 at Coton Sport de Garoua and Stade Renard de Melong respectively.
