As the Social Democratic Front – SDF celebrated its 36th anniversary on May 26 2026, the party Chairman Hon. Joshua Osih announced the upcoming launch of the “Campaign Locomotive for Electoral Success.”

Scheduled to be unveiled on June 13, 2026, during the National Executive Committee meeting in Bamenda, this new national mobilization strategy aims to significantly strengthen the party’s political machinery and grassroots organization. According to Osih, the initiative is designed to build a collective pathway to victory, signaling that the anniversary is not merely a reflection on the past, but a definitive call to action for the future of Cameroon.

Following the strategy launch, the SDF will gather on June 14, 2026, for a day of thanksgiving. This event will serve a dual purpose: honoring God for the party’s blessings and paying tribute to the enduring memory of the party’s late founding father, Ni John Fru Ndi.

Marking exactly three years since his passing, the gathering will celebrate Fru Ndi’s immense courage and personal sacrifice, which leaders emphasize continue to inspire new generations of political activists across the country.

In a stirring address aimed directly at the next generation, Osih declared that Cameroon urgently needs “new blood, new energy, new ideas, and new leadership” to rebuild the nation. He forcefully challenged the youth of Cameroon to stop allowing their futures to be decided by others while they remain absent from political life.

Emphasizing that there is ample space and opportunity for everyone within the SDF, he welcomed all citizens to join the movement and work together toward a comprehensive national transformation.

Reaffirming the SDF’s foundational core values of equal opportunities, social justice, national unity, and democratic change, the Chairman made an inclusive appeal to everyday Cameroonians. He urged citizens to assertively occupy the democratic space by registering to run as municipal councillors and Members of Parliament.

Dismissing the notion that politics is an exclusive club, Osih reminded the population that taking ownership of the country’s future is not a privilege reserved solely for the rich, the powerful, or the well-connected.
